HTC EVO 3D, the first 3D smartphone from the Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation, is expected to make an appearance on the market in the UK come July 11th, on the airwaves of wireless carrier Vodafone.

Apparently, the wireless carrier already confirmed the upcoming availability of the new device on its airwaves, along with the fact that it would be launched on a series of monthly plans with the wireless carrier.

The HTC EVO 3D was unveiled to the world a few months ago, and should arrive on shelves in the United States with support for Sprint's 3G and 4G (WiMAX) networks.

The handset would offer users the possibility to view 3D content without the need of special stereoscopic glasses, a feature that has just started to make it into mobile devices.

Vodafone UK customers should soon have the ability to enjoy the features of this new device, most probably without an upfront cost if they make the purchase with a monthly plan from the wireless carrier.

The specifications list of the new device would include a large 4.3-inch Super LCD touchscreen display, capable of delivering a qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution.

It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon application processor, complemented by a 1GB of RAM, along with 4GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

On the back, the mobile phone would include dual 5-megapixel cameras with support for HD recording of 3D content at 720p, and of 2D content at 1080p, complemented by a 1.3MP camera on the front, for video calling.

The specifications list of the new device would also include Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, as well as 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot capability, Bluetooth, HDMI or DLNA, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, or built-in GPS receiver.

Measuring 5.0" x 2.6" x .48" and weighing in at 6 ounces, the HTC EVO 3D packs a 1730 mAh Lithium-ion battery inside and runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
