It appears that HTC still has high expectations from its old EVO 3D smartphone, which is arguably among the most popular devices launched by the Taiwanese company in the United States.

Word is that HTC plans to offer Virgin Mobile the courtesy to sell the smartphone as HTC EVO V 4G later this year. According to the guys over at Pocketnow, the information was confirmed by a “reliable source.”

HTC EVO V 4G will be exclusively available via Best Buy in both grey and plum colors. No word on the pricing options yet, but this should be a bit cheaper than Sprint’s variant.

If Virgin Mobile’s EVO V 4G will have similar tech features as Sprint’s EVO 3D, it will come with a 4.3-inch Super LCD 3D capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

It should be equipped with a dual core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory. The phone will probably be shipped with Gingerbread on board.
