Shortly after removing the infamous Carrier IQ software from all HTC EVO family devices, Sprint has started to discount some of these devices in order to make room for the new ones that will be announced later this month at the Mobile World Congress 2012, in Barcelona.

Starting today through February 8, HTC EVO 3D will be available for only $49.99 (38 EUR) with a new two-year agreement. The deal is only available online and requires customers to activate a new line.

HTC EVO 3D is still a powerful Android smartphone and packs a dual core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, as well as 4GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The phone runs Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, but HTC confirmed plans to deploy an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade sometime this year. More details on Sprint’s deal can be found here.
