HTC EVO 3D, the first Android smartphone from HTC Corporation to arrive on the market with support 3D content, is set to land on shelves in Australia at Vodafone too in the near future, after being officially introduced at wireless carrier Telstra.

Vodafone has just announced that its customers will be able to purchase the new devices starting with September 14th, and that the phone will be released both via the company's stores, as well as online on its website.

“Good news for those that are waiting to purchase the HTC EVO 3D, it will be available from this Wednesday 14th September in retail stores and online,” the wireless carrier announced.

“The HTC EVO 3D will be available for $5 a month on our Vodafone $65 Infinite Plan over 24 months (total minimum cost is $1680),” the company continues.

The 3D-capable mobile phone will be released on shelves at Vodafone tomorrow, and users will enjoy a JMB Car Charger bundled in the package, the carrier announced.

Also, the company noted that "the first 3,500 HTC EVO 3D smartphones will come preloaded with the full feature length movie, The Green Hornet 3D, starring Seth Rogen and Jay Chou." The smartphone arrives on shelves in Australia with Google's Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS on board, and with HTC Sense 3.0 on top of it.

Moreover, it packs a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) touchscreen display and a fast 1.2GHz dual-core application processor, complemented by 1GB of RAM.

On the back, the mobile phone sports dual 5-megapixels cameras, which offer users the possibility to record videos in HD (720p). Moreover, a button on the side of the phone enables EVO 3D owners to switch to 2D recording.

“There’s no point having a 3D equipped smartphone without a decent screen, and with the HTC EVO 3D the 4.3 inch qHD display screen will give you clarity as you view your photos or videos,” Vodafone notes on its website.

The HTC EVO 3D also arrives on the market with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, as well as with support for the wireless carrier's 3G network, built-in GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.
