Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has just announced that it went home from the CTIA Wireless 2011 expo in Orlando, Florida, with a number of 4 awards in its pockets, for some of the latest Android-based devices it has launched.

According to the handset vendor, HTC EVO 3D, HTC ThunderBolt and HTC EVO View 4G were the three devices that were awarded the aforementioned honors.

The new recognition arrives shortly after the winning of the Best Device Manufacturer award at the GSM Association’s 15th Global Mobile Awards, HTC notes, adding that this would be a clear indicator of its leadership on the market.

The awards show that the industry is aware of the company's product innovation and distinctive design philosophy, the mobile phone maker continued.

“We are honored to receive these prestigious awards. They are a testament to the hard work and commitment to our excellence from the HTC team and our partners," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC.

“Product design and innovation are at the heart of everything we do at HTC. We are constantly listening to our customers and observing their behavior to inspire the designs that will make their lives better and easier.”

Among the awards HTC took home, we can count CTIA’s Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards for the HTC ThunderBolt, the very first smartphone that landed on Verizon Wireless' airwaves with support for 4G LTE connectivity.

At the same time, the company received the “Best in Show” award and “Best Smartphone” award by Laptop Magazine for the HTC EVO 3D, the newly unveiled smartphone that should arrive on shelves at Sprint.

The HTC EVO View 4G, unveiled at CTIA and also on its way to Sprint's 4G lineup, won the “Best of CTIA” award by Notebooks.com, the handset vendor continued.

“CTIA congratulates this year’s E-Tech Awards winners,” said Robert Mesirow, CTIA vice president and show director. “The mobile industry is undergoing rapid innovation and the E-Tech Awards honor the latest products and services for a truly mobile life.”
