Canadian mobile phone carrier Bell announced not too long ago plans to make the new HTC Desire Z smartphone available for purchase for its users, and the first shipments of the product reportedly started to arrive at the operator's stores.

The new mobile phone is expected to become available for purchase at Bell in Canada starting with November 3rd, featuring a price tag of $499.95.

Since the release date is so near, the wireless carrier already started to send Desire Z units to its stores around the country, a recent article on MobileSyrup notes.

For those who might have missed our previous reports on this, we should note that Bell already put up a coming soon page for the HTC Desire Z on its website.

Through this page, users interested in the purchase of the new device can register to receive updates on when it would be made available.

At the same time, we should note that the new Android-powered HTC Desire Z would be launched in Canada exclusively on Bell's network.

The specifications list of the new device includes a 3.7-inch touchscreen display that boasts a WVGA resolution, as well as a 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor, with support for enhanced connectivity and multimedia capabilities.

The upcoming smartphone also includes support for 14.4 mbps HSPA+ data connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi (802.11n) and Bluetooth capabilities.

On the back, the new handset sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities.

Other features of the new device include Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot capabilities, support for microSD memory cards for additional storage space, and the new HTC Sense experience, which is complemented by the new HTCSense.com service.

Starting with the next week, Bell customers would have to possibility to purchase the new Android 2.2 Froyo-based HTC Desire Z from their wireless carrier's website.
