The handset maker has yet to come forward with an official statement

HTC Desire X is a pretty old Android phone by today’s standards. The phone was pretty popular when it got launched back in Q2 2012, but due to the fact that it’s been stuck on Ice Cream Sandwich platform, Android enthusiasts tend to avoid it.

Well, there might be a chance for those who purchase the Desire X, though HTC has yet to come forward with an official statement regarding this information.

Blog of Mobile reports a certain HTC PM66xxx, which is the codename for HTC Desire X, has been recently spotted at Bluetooth SIG. The device filed for approval has been confirmed to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling exactly when the long-awaited Jelly Bean update for HTC Desire X will arrive, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
