HTC has already scheduled a launch event later today, which goes by the name “Double Exposure.” That gives us some clues on what devices the Taiwanese handset maker plans to unveil during the press conference.

First of all, there’s the HTC Desire Double Eye, which was previously leaked as HTC Desire Eye. PhoneArena reports the information comes directly from Portugal via 4GNews.pt, so take it with a grain of salt until HTC makes the smartphone official.

Anyway, the selfie smartphone to be announced by HTC today won’t be the only device showcased at the event. The HTC One M8 max is another high-end smartphone that’s supposed to be officially unveiled later today.

Last but not least, the Taiwanese company plans to introduce the Recamera, a camera that packs a 16-megapixel camera with wide angle, Bluetooth support and water resistance up to 3 meters.

Android fans expecting HTC to reveal its next tablet, the Nexus 9 will probably be disappointed to hear that the device won’t be part of the “Double Exposure” event.

Moving on to possible specs that the upcoming smartphones may pack inside, here is what the latest rumors say. The Desire Double Eye is definitely aimed at selfie lovers, as the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with dual-LED flash.

A similar 13-megapixel camera has been included in the back, along with a dual-LED flash. On the inside, HTC Desire Double Eye is equipped with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

The smartphone is made of plastic and will be available in four color options: Black, White, Red and Blue. No word on outright price or availability yet, but we expect more details to be shared during the press conference.

HTC One M8 max may not come with a QHD display after all

Next in line, HTC One M8 max is a top-tier smartphone that might come with a 5.3-inch display that supports QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) or full HD (1080p) resolution. Information is a bit confusing on the smartphone’s display, so we will just have to wait a few more hours for HTC to make it clear.

The device is said to be armed by a powerful 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit.

It’s also worth mentioning that the One M8 max is likely to boast a 13-megapixel Duo camera, as HTC has decided to drop the UltraPixel cameras completely. Stay tuned for more details on HTC’s upcoming releases later today.
