Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation appears set to bring to the market a new large device powered by Google’s Android operating system, one that has just leaked online with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display.

The handset is said to be called HTC Desire 8, and info coming from MyDrivers, which also posted the photo attached to this blog, suggests that it will also sport a 13-megapixel camera on the back.

As Engadget notes, the smartphone is expected to become available for purchase in five color versions, including white, red, yellow, orange, and cyan.

One interesting feature of the device is the lack of front buttons, which suggests that HTC might be finally getting ready to go for on-screen keys for all devices, and not only for the upcoming flagship HTC M8.

HTC Desire 8 might become official on March 18 in Beijing, considering that both of them are mentioned on the UI.
