We don’t know yet how popular HTC’s Desire 610 mid-range Android smartphone has proven until now, but we do know the Taiwanese handset maker is determined to release a sequel to this device.

Dubbed HTC Desire 620, the smartphone hasn’t been announced by the company yet, but it recently appeared on Bulgarian blog site Nixanbal.

Although the report about the unannounced smartphone and the pictures of the device have been deleted, you can still see them when accessing Google Cache.

This is rather weird considering the cited blog did a full hands-on session with the smartphone and published all the photos. Perhaps they didn’t ask for permission before publishing the report or they have been approached after they went ahead with the news.

The good news is we still have the pictures and all the information that someone interested in HTC’s mid-range Android smartphone might want to know.

For example, we know HTC Desire 620 is supposed to go on sale sometime in January for €255 ($320) outright. The smartphone will be initially launched in Europe, but we expect it to be rolled out in other regions as well.

Design-wise, the Desire 620 looks pretty sleek and stylish. From what we can see in the hands-on photos, there’s a high-chance the smartphone will pack stereo speakers in the front. Other than that, the Desire 620 is completely made of plastic.

We don’t have any info on its measures, but it can’t be too big considering the fact that it sports a 5-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display.

The smartphone will ship with Android 4.4.4 KitKat onboard

Underneath the plastic chassis, HTC Desire 620 packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor and 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone comes with only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 64GB. On the back, the Desire 620 features an enhanced 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

There’s also a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front, which might take great selfies. HTC Desire 620 has been confirmed to drain energy from a 2100 mAh battery, but the handset maker has yet to rate it for standby and talk time.

It’s also worth mentioning that HTC Desire 620 is expected to ship with Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box. Perhaps the Taiwanese company will take into consideration putting Android 5.0 Lollipop on this mid-range Android smartphone by the time it goes official. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
