Soon, AT&T’s customers will be able to purchase a new HTC handset on the network of their wireless carrier, in the form of HTC Desire 610, as officially confirmed on Tuesday.

HTC has announced the upcoming availability of the device at this operator via its Twitter account, while AT&T has already published a coming soon page for it.

The great news for AT&T’s customers is the fact that Desire 610 will be available for purchase through the wireless services provider at only $199.99 (€148), contract-free.

At AT&T, HTC Desire 610 will be available as part of the carrier’s GoPhone pre-paid offering, though it seems that users might also be able to grab it on contract.

HTC Desire 610 was made official back in February with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 540 x 960 pixels resolution, while being powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

Moreover, the smartphone arrives on shelves with 1GB of RAM inside, as well as with 8GB of internal memory.

On the back, the mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, paired with a 1.3MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The specs list of this handset also includes 4G LTE connectivity, along with the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS receiver. Moreover, it is powered by a 2040mAh battery, which should be able to provide users with pretty decent usage time.

HTC Desire 610 measures 143.1 x 70.5 x 9.6 mm and weighs 145 grams. It runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, while also featuring the Sense 6.0 user interface loaded on top.

Although this handset is a mid-ranger, which means that the experience it can deliver might not come close to that available on HTC One M8, Desire 610 can still offer appealing capabilities to its users.

As AT&T notes on its website, the smartphone arrives on shelves with HTC BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers, as well as with HTC BlinkFeed, which was designed to stream all of users’ favorite content live onto one screen.

The HTC Zoe feature is also available inside the mobile phone, providing users with the possibility to easily share their stories with people all around the world.

Those of you interested in learning more on the availability of HTC Desire 610 at AT&T should head over to the aforementioned coming soon page on the carrier’s website. There, you can also register for updates on the phone’s arrival.
