Following the official launch of Desire 600, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC has made available for purchase in China a new Android-based device, namely the Desire 608t, which features support for the TD-SCDMA network of China Mobile.

The new device appears to be nothing more than a flavor of the Desire 600, courtesy of its 4.5-inch Super LCD 2 screen (960 x 540 pixels) and its 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor.

The mobile phone also comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a 1.6MP front camera.

The new device also packs an 1860mAh battery inside, as well as NFC connectivity, while featuring a price tag of CN¥2,499 ($408 / €316), as Engadget reports. HTC Desire 608t runs under Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 loaded on top.
