Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced on Thursday the launch of its latest handset powered by Google's Android operating system, the HTC Tattoo, in Singapore. The new mobile phone comes to the market with a distinct design and with great personalization options for users, including the hardware and software aspects. According to the company, the new handset is set to offer users the possibility to express themselves in the manner they consider best fitted.

“Everyone wants their own phone to feel like it was specifically made for them. The Tattoo, with HTC Sense represents an easy way to shape your own distinct mobile experience and really make it your own.” said Peter Chou, chief executive officer, HTC Corporation. “The HTC Tattoo ensures that you can create the most engaging and appropriate mobile experience through simple yet powerful personalisation.”

The newly launched HTC Tattoo is the second Android phone from the company to sport the HTC Sense software solution, which has been designed so as to put users in the center by enabling them to use their phone in a more natural way. HTC Sense is the result of user feedback, the handset vendor states, and it is based on three principles: Make it Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected.

The HTC Tattoo offers users the possibility to stay even closer to the people important to them, by integrating all communications and their applications (such as voice calls, emails, texts, photos and status updates) into a single view, so that the phone experience offered is both innovative and fun. In addition, the phone comes with a compact design, and enables users to acquire their own personal covers for the device.

HTC also announced that users would be able to purchase it from all authorized resellers in Singapore in Thoughtful Silver for the price tag of S$598. In addition, the phone will also come in Sophisticated Black exclusively at M1 retail outlets. The standard retail package includes a 2GB microSD card.
