One of the appealing features that Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC announced for its newly unveiled HTC One flagship was the Sense 5 user interface, which is now confirmed to be landing on older devices as well.

Responding to a user’s inquiry on the matter on Facebook, HTC confirmed that it indeed planned for the Sense 5 to be delivered to other handsets via a software update.

“HTC will be offering upgrades to some of its existing devices in the next few months, including global variants of HTC One X, One X+, One S and the HTC Butterfly. Also, note that some features enabled by the new HTC One hardware will not be available in the software updates,” the company said.

Moreover, Android Police claims that they have contacted the company directly on this, and that the same answer was provided, though a specific release date is still not available.
