Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation won’t be able to deliver its HTC One smartphone to shelves around the world this month, as it promised in February when announcing the flagship Android device.

Apparently, the company has issues with shipments of some of the handset’s components, specifically its camera, as a recent article on The Wall Street Journal explains.

The company has been long rumored to have met such problems, and was even said to have decided to launch the HTC One only in a few countries this month, with more of them expected to receive it the next.

A company’s executive has confirmed that there are issues in securing the needed camera components for the device. However, it seems that the vendor will indeed be able to ship the first pre-orders for the smartphone by the end of March, as said last week.
