Orange Romania and HTC have just announced the availability of the HTC ChaCha in the country. The phone can be purchased for as low as €49 with a new two-year “Pantera 20” contract and My Smartphone add-in.

It looks like Romania has become one of HTC's fiefdoms, as the company recently stated that this is the second most profitable market from South-Eastern Europe.

Last week the HTC Sensation made its entrance on the Romanian market, but it was another major carrier that picked it, Vodafone.

Although HTC announced that both Facebook phones will be available in Romania in June, it will be interesting to find which carrier will pick the HTC Salsa that has yet to make its debut in the country.

In this regard, with only two days left of this month, it appears that the HTC Salsa won't make it on time and is likely to be announced some time in July.

For those who don't know yet, HTC ChaCha and Salsa's hardware have been improved ahead of their launch by the Taiwanese handset manufacturer.

It looks like HTC thought to make the Facebook phones more appealing and boosted the smartphones' processors.

After the new changes, the HTC ChaCha is delivered with an 800 Mhz processor on board, instead of the old 600 MHz CPU that appeared in the official announcement back in February.

In addition, the smartphone will run Android 2.3.3 at launch, though the manufacturer originally revealed it would be delivered with Android 2.4.

Obviously, the phone is aimed at Facebook fans who will be able to madly push the dedicated button that lets them instantly share almost anything with their friends.

Unlike its Salsa brother that comes with a touchscreen display, the ChaCha features a traditional portrait QWERTY keyboard that makes it easier to text.

Other highlights of the phone include, 512 MB ROM, 512 MB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), 2.6-inch multi-touch display and a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and face detection.
