HTC has been one of the first handset makers to confirm that it will offer the recently announced Android 4.4 KitKat update for some of its devices.

Shortly after Google unveiled the new platform, it announced that the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will receive the upgrade in the coming weeks.

Jason Mackenzie, head of HTC USA, stated that all HTC One versions in the United States will receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update within 90 days. Moreover, the Developer Edition has been confirmed to get the upgrade within 15 days.

Today, MobileSyrup reports that they have been confirmed by HTC Canada that the One and One mini will “follow the same path,” which means that the major upgrade will be available in the next three months as well. Stay tuned for more on this.
