14 DAY TRIAL // HTC Butterfly received the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 update last summer, but the Taiwanese handset maker promised that the smartphone would be getting another major update this year.
Well, it looks like the time has come for Butterfly owners to start checking their devices for a new update, as HTC leaker LlabTooFeR claims that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.5 is now available for download.
HTC Butterfly users should look for software update 3.15.707.4 in order to upgrade their smartphones to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The update has about 500MB in size, so it’s recommended to download it via Wi-Fi network.
The official changelog for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for HTC Butterfly confirms that it brings imaging experience improvements, HTC BlinkFeed improvements and enhanced music channel.
On a side note, LlabTooFeR says that the DROID DNA will remain on 4.2.2 until HTC rolls out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.
