Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC announced on Wednesday that it launched its Android-powered mobile phones HTC Tattoo and HTC Hero in Australia. Both handsets come to the market with the company's own HTC Sense philosophy and technology, and will be exclusively available for purchase from Harvey Norman for a period of time, revealed the company.

“These two new handsets are focused on personalisation and accessibility – hallmarks of the HTC Sense experience,” said Anthony Petts, Sales and Marketing director ANZ, HTC Corporation. “The phones are equipped to directly reflect the user’s mood, aesthetic and natural communication patterns. They are the manifestation of HTC’s research and observations of human communication interactions and needs, joining a family of HTC phones designed specifically around user specifications.”

Both new devices come to the market with the HTC Sense solution from the company, which has been developed so as to put people at the center through enabling users enjoy their handset in a simpler manner. Moreover, as many of you might already know, the solution is based on three fundamental principles, namely Make it Mine, Stay Close, and Discover the Unexpected.

The HTC Hero comes to the market with a great design and with impressive features. It sports a 3.2-inch HVGA display, along with 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, GPS, digital compass, gravity-sensor, MicroSD memory card slot for additional storage space, and amazing options when it comes to browsing the web or enjoying multimedia files.

The HTC Tattoo offers users the possibility to stay close to the important people in their lives, while also delivering a wide range of connectivity options and a series of applications that include voice calls, emails, texts, photos, and status updates into one consolidated view. Not to mention that users will have the possibility to personalize their handset the way they like, both on the inside and on the outside. A wide range of Google services also come to Tattoo's owners, HTC added.

As stated above, both phones are to be offered exclusively from Harvey Norman for the immediate launch period. However, the handset vendor will announce other channels that will have the devices. The price tags for the HTC Hero and HTC Tattoo have been set at AUD$799 and AUD$599, respectively.
