HTC Arrive, the very first Windows Phone 7-based mobile phone that Sprint brought to the market in the United States during the ongoing year, is now available for purchase via Amazon Wireless for only $0.01 on contract. The retailer announced that it is offering the new Windows Phone at the said special price tag only for a limited period of time, and those who would like to benefit from the deal should head to its website here to learn more on it,

Free of contract, the HTC Arrive would go for no less than $599.99. However, the $0.01 price tag would be available only for new two-year contract agreements, Amazon announced.

For those who might have not encountered the device before, we should note that it was launched as Sprint's own flavor of HTC 7 Pro, which was announced in October last year. The mobile phone pairs a touchscreen display with a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

“The first device from Sprint based on Windows Phone 7, the HTC Arrive offers an innovative design with a sliding full QWERTY keyboard and tilt-up display,” the retailer notes on its website.

“With the unique glance-and-go experience of the Windows Phone 7 operating system, the Arrive allows you to get to what's important to you, easier and faster in less steps. And it gives you the productivity of Office Mobile and Bing, plus the fun of Xbox LIVE and Zune.”

The specification list of the new device would include support for Sprint's WiFi network, along with WiFi and Bluetooth, as well as USB port, and built-in GPS receiver.

The mobile phone also comes with a 5-megapixel camera on the back, with HD 720p video recording capabilities, as well as with a full HTML browser, access to corporate and personal e-mail, and more.

“In addition to its 3.6-inch touchscreen display, the HTC Arrive includes integrated SRS WOW HD surround sound enhancement for an audio boost when watching videos on the go,” Amazon continues.

“It's powered by a blazing-fast Qualcomm 1 GHz Snapdragon processor for a fast mobile data experience. In addition to the 16 GB of internal memory, the HTC Arrive can also access Windows Live SkyDrive for cloud-based storage (up to 25 GB).”
