HTC has just confirmed that its flagship smartphone, the One M9, will be launched in Taiwan on March 16. This is the first country to get the HTC One M9, but the device will go on sale globally in the coming days.

In the United States, the One M9 might be available after March 20, but an exact release date will be announced closer to release.

The good news is that HTC One M9 will be available in two versions: 32GB and 64GB. Both have been priced in Taiwan at 21,900 TWD ($700) and 23,900 TWD ($755), respectively.

Unfortunately, it's unclear whether or not the 64GB will be available for purchase in other countries as well. We don't rule out any exclusivity in the United States over the HTC One M9 64GB, but we will probably learn more in the coming days.

The One M9 will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box and the latest Sense 7 UI on top. The new version of Sense user interface has been slightly modified to offer a much smoother performance on Lollipop OS.

Snapdragon 810, 20MP camera, and 5-inch FHD display

HTC has decided that the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset is enough for their flagship smartphone, as well as the 5-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.

The One M9 packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB, which can be further expanded up 128GB via a microSD card slot. The 20.7-megapixel camera on the back features dual-LED flash, autofocus, and 4K video recording, while the 4-UltraPixel camera on the front can capture full HD (1080p) videos.

Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by a non-removable 2840 mAh battery, which should provide up to 400 hours of standby time or up to 25 hours of talk time (22 hours in 3G mode).
