WIND Mobile is close to release the HTC Amaze 4G smartphone. This is the second smaller Canadian carrier, after Videotron, that plans to release the 4G-enabled device.

According to the folks over at MobileSyrup, WIND Mobile might release the HTC Amaze 4G for a suggested retail price of $570 (425 EUR), but the price tag has yet to be confirmed by the carrier.

One of the most powerful Android-based smartphones available in the market, the HTC Amaze 4G is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and packs 16GB onboard memory and 1GB of RAM.

With full 4G support, the device offers users speeds of up to 42Mbps download. There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus and dual-LED flash, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel front facing camera.

The phone is powered by Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread platform, but HTC may deliver the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Amaze 4G in early 2012.
