The smartphone is available for $549.99 (410 EUR) outright

One of the newest high-end Android smartphones, the HTC Amaze 4G has just made its debut at Mobilicity, along with a budget-friendly BlackBerry device, the Curve 9380. The HTC Amaze 4G is now available for purchase for $549.99 (410 EUR) without contract.

 

The phone is delivered with the Wi-Fi hotspot function which can be activated with Mobilicity’s unlimited data offering, which can be added onto any voice plan.

 

Although the carrier brags about the fact that the smartphone arrives just in time for the holiday season, hopefully, this will not be the last device launched by Mobilicity this year.

 

Mobilicity describes the HTC Amaze 4G as “a miniature multiplex, with its 4.3-inch super LCD display with true qHD video viewing.”

 

Get everything faster with the HTC Amaze, Web browsing is now smoother than ever, plus download photos in a flash, or songs in just a few beat. With the 8 Megapixel camera, you can leave your “good” camera at home and take astonshingly sharp photos,” Mobilicity further advertises the smartphone.

 

The smartphone is aimed at both photo and Internet enthusiasts, the HTC Amaze 4G boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities.

 

The rear camera features all sorts of complex functions and settings, including Action Burst, panoramic view face detection, SmartShot, SweepShot and ClearShot. There’s also a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera for HD video calls and chats.

 

The phone is powered by Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system, which is complemented by HTC Sense 3.0 user interface.

 

A large 4.3-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen is included as well, which boasts 540 x 960 pixels resolution and support for 16 million colors.

 

Hardware-wise, the HTC Amaze 4G packs a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, an Adreno 220 GPU, 16GB storage, 1 GB of RAM, and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
