Although HTC Amaze 4G is already available in Canada from three different carriers, Mobilicity, TELUS and WIND Mobile, a fourth operator will be launching the smartpone this week.

It appears that the folks over at MobilSyrup managed to get their hands on an internal document that confirms the HTC Amaze 4G will be launched on December 7 by Videotron.

However, the regional carriers will be selling the Amaze 4G for no less than $599.95 (445 EUR) outright, which is a bit steep in comparison with Mobilicity’s $549.99 (410 EUR) price. Still, Videotron matches TELUS’ no term offer.

Videotron customers will also be able to purchase the HTC Amaze 4G on the carrier’s reduced plan for only $129.99 (95 EUR).

The HTC Amaze 4 is now listed on Videotron’s site with the “Coming Soon” tag attached to it and the following description: “A phone that lives up to its name. The latest phone from HTC is sure to generate a buzz.”

The Amaze 4G is true to its name and offers users amazing browsing, multitasking and gaming experiences thanks to its powerful processor and HSPA+ support.

The smartphone is powered by Google’s Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system, but HTC may take this one into consideration for an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in early 2012.

It features HTC Sense 3.0 user interface and Google’s full suite of apps and services, including Google Search, Maps, Gmail, Google Talk and YouTube. Android Market access is provided as well, which allows users to further customize their smartphone via third-party apps.

On the inside, the HTC Amaze 4G is equipped with a powerful 1.5 GHz dual core processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 220 graphics processing unit. The device also packs 16GB onboard memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel camera on the back that features autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities.
