Pretty pricey

HTC Advantage X7510, the business-orientated mobile device first announced during MWC 2008 (11 - 14 February), is now available on pre-order, through various mobile retailers.

For example, Clove offers it for 595 GBP ($1200), eXpansys for 699.95 GBP ($1410), while On The Go Solutions sells the HTC Advantage X7510 for $1300 (minus 1 cent). Pretty expensive, that's for sure, but we should have in mind that, when officially launched, the device's retail price will be lower.

HTC Advantage X7510 is a smartphone / UMPC that succeeds the successful Advantage X7500, released by HTC in 2007. The new Advantage brings several enhancements and will most probably run on Windows Mobile 6.1.

One of the most important improvements is the available storage capacity, which has been upgraded to 16GB instead of 8GB, the capacity of Advantage X7500. Moreover, the X7510 brings new software, a new keyboard that features haptic feedback, and an enhanced version of VueFLO, which now uses a G-sensor to recognize the device's screen orientation in order to provide the best usability.

Other features of Advantage X7510 include quad-band GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and tri-band UMTS (850 / 1900 / 2100 MHz) connectivity, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, a 5 inch TFT touchscreen display with a 640 x 480 pixels resolution, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, miniUSB, Windows Media Player 10, dual speakers, File manager, TV out and a 3.15 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus and video recording.

HTC announced in February that Advantage X7510 is planned for a March release. We're in the middle of the month and there's still no sign of a launching. Anyway, there shouldn't be to long until the new Advantage hits the market to be the ideal companion for businessmen who need a powerful and reliable portable device.
