HTC announced that it will not release any One mini handsets for the moment, as the company focuses on expanding its portfolio of high-end smartphones.

Since the One M9 was launched on the market, HTC released several variations of its flagship smartphones, which are now available in various parts of the world.

Even though HTC stated that it has no plans to launch mid-range smartphones anymore, it looks like the company will continue add new devices to its Desire lineup.

The next Desire smartphone will be launched in China and its specs have just been revealed by @upleaks. Known by the HTC A50C codename, the smartphone is expected to be introduced in the Mainland pretty soon.

Unlike some of the high-end HTC smartphones already available on the market, HTC A50C will come pre-loaded with the new Sense 7.0 UI. Obviously, the smartphone will be powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

Samsung camera sensors and dual-SIM support

Moving on to specs, the high-end Desire smartphone will be equipped with an octa-core MediaTek MT6753T processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. There's no mention of microSD card, but it would make sense for a Desire smartphone to pack one.

On the back, the A50C is said to boast a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there will be a 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

Both cameras will be packed with Samsung sensors (S5K3L2XX and S5K5E2YA). We also know that HTC A50C will offer dual-SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity.

The phone's display size is unknown for the moment, but we do know that it supports HD (720p) resolution. We expect more details on HTC A50C to emerge in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
