Sprint customers who still own the HTC 8XT will be pleased to know that the carrier has just started the rollout of GDR3 update, also known as Windows Phone Update 3.

As WPCentral points out, Sprint has confirmed that the smartphone is eligible for this upgrade on its support site, so HTC 8XT owners might want to check their phones for availability.

According to the official changelog, this update brings streaming audio and accessibility enhancements, along with lots of minor OS improvements included in the GDR3.

Keep in mind that this update is released in stages, so it can take several days for delivery. In case the update doesn’t show on your HTC 8XT, check back later on.

Once the update is installed, users will be able to take advantage of new features and improvements, including better storage management, screen rotation lock and more.
