It appears that HTC’s flagship Windows Phone handset, the 8X, is one of the best-selling smartphones in the UK for this week.

Given the fact that Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 have yet to make their entrance on the market, it shouldn’t be too surprising.

HTC Windows Phone 8X tops Expanys UK’s best-seller list for this week, followed closely by two Android smartphones, Acer Liquid Gallant Duo and HTC One X+.

As we already mentioned, Lumia 920 is nowhere to be seen on this list as the smartphone has yet to hit shelves in the UK.

However, after checking the pre-orders top list, we noticed that the yellow and black Nokia Lumia 920 models are the first two most pre-ordered devices at Expansys UK. Titanium Gray Samsung Galaxy Note II 64GB is only third on this list.

It is also worth mentioning that the Lumia 920 is exclusive to EE in the UK, while the HTC 8X can be purchased unlocked.

HTC Windows Phone 8X is now available for purchase via Expansys UK for £400/€500/$640 outright, whereas Nokia Lumia 920 has yet to be priced.

Although Nokia Lumia 920 is superior when it comes to hardware, HTC 8X still offers nice features. The latter comes packed with a powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor built on Krait architecture, an Adreno 225graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

HTC 8X embeds only 16GB of internal memory and lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion, but it user will also receive 7GB of free cloud storage via SkyDrive.

There’s also an impressive 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

It also sports a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.
