Redmond-based software giant Microsoft is gearing up for the launch of its new mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7, and some more info on one of the handsets that will supposedly run under it emerged, namely the HTC 7 Trophy, which just popped up on Vodafone Germany internal systems.

In addition to this HTC smartphone, the wireless carrier is also expected to get the Symbian^3-based Nokia C7 on its airwaves, though specific info on when that would happen lack at the moment.

The HTC Trophy has made it to the headlines a few times before, including in some leaked info on HTC's roadmaps.

Recently, the device was spotted at GCF, where it added the “7” part to its name, which suggests that it could be released on the market with the new Windows Phone 7 platform on board.

The info on this mobile phone being headed for Vodafone Germany comes from German site BestBoyz, which has some screenshots to back their sayings.

Since the phone was in the operator's internal systems, chances are that other countries would also get it via Vodafone, though no info on this emerged for the time being.

Unfortunately, so specific info on how the new mobile phone would look like emerged for the time being, nor on its hardware specifications.

However, the handset was spotted at GCF with quad band GSM / GPRS / EDGE and dual-band UMTS / HSDPA / HSUPA at 900 / 2100 MHz support.

Although it's not certain when it would land on the market, chances are that we'd have to wait at least about 5 to 7 weeks for that to happen, so we should look at the HTC 7 Trophy arriving sometime after mid-October.

As for the Nokia C7, the other smartphone spotted at Vodafone Germany, it should arrive on shelves with the new Symbian^3 platform on board, but has not been announced officially for the time being.

The handset already emerged into the wild in a series of photos and videos, and it is expected to deliver highly-appealing features, similar with those packed inside Nokia's Nseries smartphones.
