Mobile phone users in Australia are now able to purchase a new device on the airwaves of Vodafone in the country, namely the Windows Phone 7-based HTC 7 Trophy. The handset was made available for purchase on the carrier's $49 monthly plan for $0 upfront, upon the signing of a two year contract agreement.

The new mobile phone comes with a nice range of new features, powered by Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system, and also includes some appealing hardware specifications.

The HTC 7 Trophy sports a brilliant 3.8 inch touchscreen display, as well as a powerful processor for great mobile experience.

“A brilliant 3.8 inch display with a powerful processor to back up, the HTC 7 Trophy is a mobile that really puts up a fight with its rivals. With Dolby Mobile and SRS Surround Sound, bring your phone alive with music and surround sound gaming,” the company stated in a blog post on its website.

The phone's specs list also includes a 5.0 megapixel photo snapper with LED Flash, auto focus, and video recording capabilities, a great option for capturing important moments in one's life.

Moreover, the smartphone would offer great gaming capabilities on that large display, since Microsoft packed all Windows Phone 7 devices with Xbox LIVE access.

Further more, the mobile phone sports SRS WOW HD, offering a richer listening and viewing experience.

“Adding effects is easy with the 7 Trophy with 10 pre-defined effect presets that will allow users to apply on photos with one-click and, Auto-enhance – One click auto color / brightness correction for any photos will also appear in the presets bar,” Vodafone notes.

This is the very first Windows Phone 7 device that Vodafone Australia makes available for its users, and is also available exclusively on its airwaves.

8GB of internal memory were included with the device, as well as a battery that can offer up to 210 minutes of talk time, or 435 hours of standby time, in addition to great connectivity options, and more.
