The operator has just put on its website two upcoming Windows Phone 7 handsets, namely the HTC 7 Surround and the LG Optimus 7, both said to land in a matter of weeks.

On Monday, Microsoft announced that various wireless carriers around the world would launch Windows Phone 7 devices on their airwaves, and TELUS is one of the first companies to bring such handsets to the market.

Both HTC 7 Surround and LG Optimus 7 come with highly appealing features, being capable to keep users connected at all times, with offering enhanced multimedia features.

Here's what TELUS had to say on each of the two devices: “Enjoy music, videos and games in Dolby Surround sound on the new Windows Phone 7 powered HTC 7 Surround.” “The LG Optimus 7 gives you enhanced media and social network sharing using the simple yet sophisticated Windows Phone 7.”

Through the new mobile operating system, the two devices can offer a wide range of features that were unavailable before to handset owners, including status updates, messages and emails straight to the phone's home screen via the Windows Phone 7 live tiles.

The specs list of HTC 7 Surround includes a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor, 3.8-inch SLCD touch screen display, 5.0 megapixel photo snapper with 720p HD video recording, and 8GB of internal memory.

Moreover, the new device comes with 512MB of ROM and 576MB of RAM, WiFi b/g/n, micro-USB, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, and a 1230 mAh battery inside.

LG Optimus 7 includes a 3.8” capacitive touchscreen display, complemented by a 5MP camera with LED Flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headphone socket, and a 1500mAh battery inside.
