Wireless carrier Sprint is reportedly gearing up to make available for pre-order on its airwaves a new Windows Phone 7 device, namely the HTC 7 Pro, as soon as November 8th, but only for a small number of people. To be more precise, only Microsoft employees would be able to pre-order the device next week, while the general public would receive access to it at a later date.

According to the guys over at BGR, Sprint themselves confirmed this state of facts, though the company did not unveil specific info on the release date of HTC 7 Pro, nor on the price tag it might feature when available.

While info on the price is still missing, the targeted launch date for this device would be next year, at least this is what rumors suggest.

We already knew that CDMA-capable Windows Phone 7 handsets will be released at a later date than GSM ones, and the fact that HTC was not able to showcase the 7 Pro last month suggests that we won't see the device on shelves before the end of this year.

However, it still sounds like good news that Sprint would start taking pre-orders for the smartphone at the same time as GSM carriers in the country start selling their Windows Phone 7 devices.

For those who might have missed previous reports on HTC 7 Pro, we should note that this handset should arrive on shelves with a 3.6-inch touchscreen display, complemented by a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a 1 GHz application processor.

The specifications list of this device also includes 8 GB of internal memory, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities, 512 MB or ROM and 448 MB of RAM.

Moreover, it comes with 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, 3G (7.2 Mbps) support, Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate, GPS, and a 1500 mAh battery inside.

On top of these all, we should add all the features that Windows Phone 7 comes to the market with, along with the supported services and applications.

Ii Sprint is indeed set to make the phone available for pre-order on November 8th, then it might not be too long before more info on the handset's availability and pricing emerge, so keep an eye on this space for more.
