A new mobile phone from Taiwan-based handset vendor has just received the necessary FCC approvals, and rumors has it that we might be looking at none other than the HTC 7 Pro smartphone that went official on October 11th along with four other Windows Phone 7 devices from HTC.

For those who might have missed previous reports on the matter, we should note that the HTC 7 Pro was presented to the world as a side-sliding Windows Phone 7 device, which should make an appearance on the market next year.

The mobile phone is expected to make an appearance on the market on the airwaves of Sprint in the US.

The handset that passed through FCC's hallways is reportedly a CDMA device, and is also said to be a production unit, which means that the manufacturing of this product already started.

However, one should not expect for it to arrive on shelves in the near future, as Microsoft did announce that CDMA Windows Phone 7 handsets will arrive later than GSM ones.

According to the guys over at Engadget, this device should be none other than the HTC 7 Pro, as this is the only CDMA Windows Phone 7 device that HTC announced officially until now.

The FCC listing also shows that the new mobile phone comes with a Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n capabilities, as well as with Bluetooth + EDR connectivity.

While no other specs are available from here, HTC's website shows us more on what the upcoming HTC 7 Pro would include, provided that the handset that received FCC blessing is indeed this phone.

We're looking at a device packing a 3.6-inch touchscreen display (boasting a (480 x 800 pixels) WVGA resolution), a 1 GHz processor inside, complemented by 448 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and 8 GB of internal memory.

Moreover, the upcoming handset should include a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, and video and audio players.

The HTC 7 Pro also comes with a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, G-Sensor, Digital compass, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, built-in GPS receiver, and a 1500 mAh battery that can offer up to 420 minutes of talk time or up to 420 hours of standby time.
