Windows Phone 7 users out there are currently waiting for a new software update to be delivered to their devices, one that would offer new features to them, including copy&paste functionality, and which is codenamed NoDo.

Announced since January, the software is expected to arrive on mobile phones any day now, but specific info on when that would happen lack at the moment.

However, some of the latest reports on the matter suggested that the software update might be released on devices as soon as this week.

The fact that a leaked ROM for the HTC 7 Mozart emerged into the wild with the NoDo software update inside suggests that it might not be too long before Microsoft delivers it to all Windows Phone 7 users out there.

The software made an appearance on in a thread on the XDA-Developers forum, and is said to be a full ROM upgrade that comes from HTC themselves.

According to those who gave it a try, it indeed includes the copy&paste functionality, as well as the already touted performance enhancements.

After flashing the handset with the new ROM, the OS version on 7 Mozart is reportedly 7389, which would suggest that this is the final flavor of the platform.

Moreover, there are some who point at various other enhancements that the handset vendor might have included into the mix, in addition to what Microsoft packed with it.

Those who would like to learn more info on this software, dubbed RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_1.30.401.01_5.54.09.21_22.33 b.50_RELEASE, should head over to this thread on the XDA-Developers forum (via WPCentral).

Specific info on what would one need to do in order to install the ROM on a HTC 7 Mozart are available there too.

We should also note that the installation of this ROM might not go as smoothly as wanted on some handsets, since they would be locked via a vendor ID, and would not accept firmware from another carrier.
