It appears that some Windows Phone 7-based HTC devices still got delayed a little, even if the Taiwan-based mobile phone maker said last week that they would all ship in time. We're referring here to the HTC 7 Mozart, which was expected to hit shelves at Telstra in Australia starting with October 21st, and which is now said to have been pushed back all the way to November 7th.

According to a recent article on WMPoweruser, the HTC 7 Mozart, one of the smartphones set to arrive on the Australian market exclusively via Telstra, was almost impossible to find at launch in some of the carrier's stores.

Reportedly, some of the carrier's stores did receive a limited stock, and the Windows Phone 7 handset is expected to arrive in other stores come November 7th, almost two weeks from now.

When announcing the availability of its Windows Phone 7 devices, the Australian wireless carrier made it clear that this smartphone would land on October 21st.

“First, and arriving in-store next Thursday 21 October, Telstra will introduce the HTC 7 Mozart, a stunning smartphone with a 3.7 inch touch screen and an 8 megapixel camera,” Richard Fink, Director Device Management & Operations, noted in a post on exchange.telstra.

The carrier also planned the release of two other Windows Phone 7-based smartphones, namely the LG Optimus 7Q and the HTC HD7, the former expected to land in November, while the latter should be release in the coming months.

Previously this week, HTC was rumored to have found some issues with its handsets and the new Windows Phone 7 platform, and to have decided to delay the release of these devices.

Soon after, the company responded to these allegations, stating that its Windows Phone 7 handsets would ship in time.

“Everything pointing to a delay in delivery is wrong,” a spokesperson for the company stated at that time.

However, it seems that HTC 7 Mozart did got delayed, and that HTC HD7 would suffer the same fate, as no unit would arrive at the wireless carrier in Australia before Christmas.
