Mobile phone users in India are getting more of that Windows Phone 7 goodness, with a new smartphone powered by this mobile operating system being launched in the market, namely the HTC 7 Mozart, which should land at wireless carrier Tata DOCOMO.

HTC and this operator already announced the official release of the new mobile phone in the country, while also unveiling the fact that the handset would be priced at Rs. 26,490, and that it would become available via all authorized HTC resellers in the country.

The new HTC 7 Mozart comes with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform on board, and can offer all a nice range of services and applications to all users.

“The HTC 7 Mozart is a great piece of craftsmanship with some of the most advanced features and perfectly underlines HTC’s focus on raising the bar in mobile phone innovation and design,” said Ajay Sharma, Country Head, HTC India (via fonearena).

“With its stunning looks, great features and the new Windows Phone 7 experience, we are positive that the HTC 7 Mozart will be a great success in India, and are extremely happy to partner Tata DOCOMO in bringing the phone here.”

The specifications list of this mobile phone includes a 3.7-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 800 x 480 pixels resolution, beneath which HTC packed a 1 GHz applications processor for great connectivity options.

On the back, the new device sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with 720p HD Video recording capabilities. Additional specs include Dolby SRS WOW HD audio, or the 1300 mAh battery inside for increased usage time.

The handset was crafted from a single piece of anodized aluminum, and comes with Microsoft Zune integration, for fast syncing with a PC, as well as with Xbox Live, and other appealing features. The HTC 7 Mozart is being made available for purchase in India exclusively via Tata DOCOMO.
