HP unveiled a new series of four desktop systems that aim especially at the multimedia sector. Three of these desktop PCs are dedicated to home theater owners, while the fourth is targeted at digital photography enthusiasts.

The Pavilion Slimline s3330f is only a third the size of a normal desktop system, thanks to a small-form-factor tower chassis. Despite its small dimensions, the s3330f is powered by an AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core 5400+. Since it is a multimedia computer, it comes with a dual-format Blu-Ray/HD-DVD player to allow the users to watch multimedia content recorded on both Bly-Ray and HD-DVD optical media.

The system also comes with the Nvidia GeForce 8500 graphics card and can run DirectX10 games, while the integrated TV tuner makes sure that you won't miss your favorite show while sitting at your computer desk. Featuring a HDMI link for HD-television connectivity, the HP Pavilion Slimline s3330f will be available starting February for $950.

The Pavilion Elite m9100 series is a high-end computer that aims especially at power users. It comes with a SLI-enabled GeForce 8500 graphics card with a DVI output and a HDMI link. The system is built around an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor. It also features 4GB of DDR memory, two hard-drives of 360GB each and runs Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Edition. The system will be available at a retail price of $1160.

The last computer system in the Multimedia series is the Pavilion Media Center m8330f, powered by an AMD Phenom 9500 2.2GHz quad-core processor. The system features a Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT graphics card, with built-in TV-out, DVI, and HDMI connections, but it only comes with 3GB of RAM and 640GB of total hard drive space. The Pavilion Media Center m8330f will come in February and will be priced around $960.

Photography enthusiasts will find a reliable companion during their digital quest: the Pavilion a6330f. The latest desktop system in the new series comes with a 500GB hard drive that can carry as much as 200,000+ digital photos. The system comes with HP Photosmart Essentials software to eliminate the hassle of backing up entire photo collections. The front panel sports a 15-in-one memory card reader for direct download of the digital images from the camera's memory card. The system will be available starting February at an estimative price of $650.
