HP Palm is expected to make an official announcement on new devices that would run under the company's webOS mobile operating system in early February, most probably unveiling what should be the very first tablet PC powered by this OS. The announcement would be made during a press conference set for February 9th in San Francisco, California. The company already sent out invites for the said event, it seems.

The invitation, which can be seen in the photo attached to the left (via BGR), hints at the possibility that HP would unveil multiple devices at the event, differentiated by the screen size.

“Think big. Think small. Think beyond,” is what can be read on the said invitation, also suggesting that the company plans on unveiling more than just one device in February.

There are no specific details available on what exactly would be unveiled there, but plenty of rumors suggest that the long expected webOS tablet PC would made an official appearance at the press conference.

Previous reports on the matter suggested that HP Palm would actually plan the release of this tablet this week at the CES 2011 event in Las Vegas.

The fact that there will be an announcement regarding webOS devices on February 9th does not exclude the possibility that HP would also unveil something at CES.

For those out of the loop, we should note that previous rumors on the matter suggested that a number of no less than three slates would be unveiled at the Las Vegas event, all three included in a PalmPad series of devices.

Enthusiasts are certainly familiar with the fact that Palm promised impressive devices based on webOS 2.0 for the ongoing year, and that the series should include smartphones and tablets too.

Moreover, we should note that recent info on HP prepping video ads for some unannounced products also emerged, pointing at three codenames, including Broadway, Manta, and Topaz. Keep an eye on this space for additional info on this.
