HP leak reveals plans to release Clarkdale CPUs and Radeon cards in Spring 2010

Normally, when information on a certain hardware manufacturer's upcoming products leaks to the Internet, the most that one can get from it is vague figures or pictures that can do nothing than act as the basis for wild speculations and, often unrealistic, anticipations. This time around, however, it's not an unconfirmed photo of a chip or card, nor is it a leaked benchmark. HP managed to leak specific and quite detailed information in the form of PowerPoint presentation slides, which leave no doubt as to the company's Roadmap for the early stages of 2010.

Hewlett-Packard plans to start out by releasing two new Pavilion desktop configurations and aims to integrate Hulu and Netflix into its MediaSmart software suite. The enterprise aims to launch personal computers powered by the Intel Core i3-5XX and Core i5-6XX processors, meaning that the Clarkdale Core will definitely be out early next year. HP's Core-i5 will feature the turbo Boost technology and 4MB of L3 cache memory, compared to the Core-i3, which has no Turbo Boost and only 3MB L3 cache.

According to the slides, HP's plans for the opening of 2010 also include the introduction of two Pavilion desktops. One of these desktop personal computers will use an ATI Radeon HD 5350 graphics card with HDMI, DVI and VGA ports and will boast 1GB of onboard memory. The second pavilion configuration uses the more powerful Radeon HD 5570 (Jaguar) that completely does away with the VGA connectivity, featuring, instead, a DisplayPort and 2GB of onboard memory.

HP will also release Arrandale-based TouchSmart 600 all-in-one systems and a series of other, less notable products such as the Boma-D and Iona motherboards and the 802.11 a/b/g/n PCI Express wireless half-Length Mini Card.

The HD 5770 (Jaguar) card is set for release on February 20, while the 5350 will debut at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 on January 7.
