HP is getting ready for the launch of its Android-based Slate 7 tablet PC in the UK, and should make the device available on May 1, it seems.

The slate was spotted on the company’s UK web store with a price tag of £129 ($197 / 150 Euro) attached to it and with the aforementioned availability release date, and can be seen on this page, already up for orders.

Those who choose to purchase the device will enjoy a 7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, along with a 1.6GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor and 1GB of RAM.

The slate arrives on shelves with Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top, Beats Audio technology, rear and front cameras, and the option to connect to an HP printer over a Wi-Fi connection.
