Brings with it a host of accessories and a 999 EUR starting price ($1,325 US)

After the initial launch of the Pavilion dm4 in the US, HP has now also made this notebook available in Europe where it will sell with prices starting at 999 Euros, which is significantly more than the $629.99 that HP asks for this model in the US.

The configurations of the notebooks are however different as in Europe HP doesn’t allow its clients to customize their laptop so they have to go with an Intel Core i5 CPU instead of the cheaper Core i3 available in the base version of the US Pavilion dm4.

The fast i5-2430M processor clocked at 2.4GHz is seconded by 4GB of system memory (upgradeable to 6GB) as well as by an AMD Radeon HD 6470M discrete graphics card with 1GB of dedicated DDR3 memory.

Storage is provided by a 160GB solid state drive (another feature that comes as an optional in the US), while for backup duties the notebook also includes a dual-layer DVD burner.

The rest of the spec list includes a pair of Altec Lansing speakers, an HD webcam tuned for low-light conditions, HDMI and VGA video outputs as well as802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

Three USB ports are also included, but sadly we don’t get USB 3.0 support, which is a pretty big omission if you ask us.

As far as the display is concerned, this measures 14-inch in diagonal, has a native 1366x768 resolution and a BrightView coating, while power is provided by a 6-cell battery pack.

As Notebook Italia reports, together with the Pavilion dm4, HP also announced a series of accessories for this notebook including the HP Wireless TV Connect video streaming kit and the Wi-Fi Touch Mouse x7000.

The 999 Euros pricing was listed on HP’s Italian website, but this shouldn’t differ for most countries in the EU, except for the UK.
