HP Touchpad, the WebOS Tablet That Got Jelly Bean

The HP TouchPad will pass outside of memory eventually, but modders have made sure that, if it does happen, it won't be any time soon.

What we mean by this is that the defunct slate, famous for the shortest product life among its kind (officially at any rate) and the absurd price of $99 / €80, has received Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Support.

The CyanogenMod 10 by Jcsullins is a very raw setup though. Android 4.1 works, in principle, but it can't do all that much.

In fact, only web browsing and e-mail access is available. Everything else is still not enabled, and that includes audio and hardware acceleration for video and graphics.

At least the installation instructions are fairly easy to follow (find them here and here). Just don't be surprised if the tablet doesn't recharge properly after the software turns on, such as it is.
