Given the fact that the TouchPad WebOS 3.0 tablet from HP is one of the hottest topics today, we can't help from adding a few extra details on this topic that transpired during the official launch even, including the fact that the tablet will also get a Bluetooth keyboard accessory, designed for those people who intend to do some serious work on this thing.

The fact that HP's decided to provide such an accessory shouldn't really come as much of a surprise, given the fact that the device the TouchPad will take on directly, the Apple iPad, is also accompanied by such a product.

According to the info available thus far (available courtesy of Engadget, who've actually gotten the chance to get really close and personal with this thing), this thing is actually extremely thin and lightweight, featuring not only a good-quality finishing but also dedicated webOS function keys, granting fast and easy access to the various specific functions this operating system has in store.

The keyboard is battery-powered (actually uses AA units, not a Li-Ion power pack) and sports no NUM pad and no palm rest either, but does feature an adjustable tilt system, meaning that users will be able to choose the position that provides the most comfortable typing experience for them.

Furthermore, the device sports a chiclet design, with very low profile, well-spaced keys, as well as a power on-off button, as well as a Bluetooth-pairing button.

Sadly, there's no key backlighting either, which is sort of a minus, but it's a compromise HP probably had to resort to in order to help boost battery life.

Of course, much in the same way as the tablet itself, HP's not provided any pricing details for this Bluetooth keyboard, the accessory being most likely set to go on sale roughly in the same time frame as the TouchPad.
