The tablet is expected to hit shelves at some point in mid-May

HP’s Slate 7 is about to make its debut in Australia. The tablet is now available for pre-order via HP’s online store for only $200/€155.

According to AusDroid, the tablet will be available for purchase in silver and red colors beginning mid-May. Check it out here.

The Slate 7 will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and a powerful 1.6GHz dual-core ARM Cortes A9 processor.

The tablet has been confirmed to pack 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

It also embeds Beats Audio technology and HP ePrint service, along with a slew of useful apps such as Google Search, Voice Search, Gmail, Contact Sync, Calendar Sync, Google Talk, Chrome Browser, Google+, Google Maps and more.
