Back in mid-September, the Palo Alto, California-based HP officially announced the debut of its new line of
ENVY laptops, introducing the ENVY 13 and ENVY 15 models. Designed to provide users with a choice for two different portable computer systems, the two laptops distinguish themselves from the rest thanks to the adoption of a unique and stylish design, combined with the latest mobile platforms. On that note, it appears that HP is preparing to launch another EVNY laptop, which will go somewhere between the two previously released models.
Reportedly dubbed ENVY 14, the new laptop has just been spotted on the PC vendor's
website, although no specific details regarding the specifications or design have yet been made available. The webpage has quickly been posted in a thread on Notebookreview's
forum, thanks to the details that have been brought about by a forum member.
While nothing is available at this time regarding the laptop's performance, the said page allows fans of the new series to speculate on the specifications of the upcoming system. Another point of interest is the speculated release date, which could be somewhere before the year's end or early next year, at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Considering that the Envy 13 is designed on a CULV platform and features a 13.3-inch WXGA display, while the Envy 15 is featured with Intel's mobile Core i7 processors in a 15.6-inch design, the rumored model might just feature a 14-inch display and one of Intel's more performance-potent Core 2 Duo processors. However, that is pure speculation at this time, as we have no way of knowing if the laptop will actually be launched before the end of this year.
Both the ENVY 13 and EVNY 15 laptops have been designed as high-end portable computer systems, something that is clearly visible in the two systems' pricing. The pricing of the ENVY 14 shouldn't be too far off from the rest of the gang, although one can only hope for a more affordable pricing policy.
