It appears that HP really does have great things in mind for the tablet device whose official availability date it revealed only days ago, and it has the very sizable set of nine videos to prove it.

HP has been doing its best to make sure prospective buyers of the TouchPad tablet have as little doubt as possible in their minds as to whether or not the slate is a good purchase.

The hardware specification, the WebOS operating system and the price on par with that of the Apple iPad definitely work in its advantage.

Still, HP doesn't look like just this much is enough marketing effort on its part, so it decided to step things up by another notch.

The step it took, in this instance, was demonstrating the device on video, although the lengths it went to in this endeavor overshadow most everything of the sort seen so far.

To be more specific, HP did not just shoot one or two, or three videos, deciding to go for a full set of nine videos, each focusing on a certain asset of the product.

While one or two deal with the TouchPad in general, the others focus on such things as notifications, multitasking, touch input, entertainment, synergy, wireless charging and fitness for the work environment.

For those that want a refresh, the touchpad uses an ARM-based Snapdragon SoC and can have either 16GB or 32 GB of storage space, for the prices of $499 and $599, respectively.

As already outlined, the product itself will start selling on the first of July this year (2011), in the US at least, with Canada and several European countries to soon follow, while other regions, like Singapore, will only get it later this year.

In the meantime, prospective buyers can think about whether or not they are willing to spend an extra $30 to $80 for one of the accessories (charger, folding case, Bluetooth keyboard and Touchstone dock).
