Looking to purchase an Intel Atom Bay Trail tablet? Why not choose HP? As of today, the HP Omni 10 is available for pre-order in the Microsoft Store.

The slate features a 10.1-inch full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The display is coated with a nice protective layer of Gorilla Glass 2. HP powers the device with a 1.46 GHz Intel Atom Z3770 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The PC manufacturer has packed an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front snapper within, and it also offers 32GB of internal storage with the possibility of extension via microSD card. Omni runs Windows 8.1 out of the box.

On top of that, there’s the USB port, micro HDMI out, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Miracast technology embedded onboard. The tablet is supposed to offer up to 8.5 hours of battery life.

The Omni is one light slate, weighing 1.4 pounds / 0.63 kg, so it will become your best travel buddy if you decide to give it a chance. Customers can grab it for $399 / €297 a pop.
