If you don't own an iPod Shuffle or a Mini yet, then you should take advantage of HP's stock liquidation.
The company, which gave up on Apple's player in July, is offering now the 512MB and 1GB iPod Shuffle for $84 and $110 respectively, compared to the regular $99 and $129 price tags.
HP also has a price cut for the 4GB iPod Mini, which is selling now
for $169.
The models can be ordered from the official site, HPShopping.com, but orders exceeding $250 are subjected to shipping fees.
The contract between Apple and HP was signed when Carly Fiorina was the company's CEO. But in July, when the company announced that the deal is off, Fiorina didn't offer any reason for the decision. Analysts have speculated that HP doesn't make a lot of money from Apple's players and that the decision belonged to Mark Hurd, the new CEO.
Although the agreement regarding the iPod player is no longer valid, Apple and HP continue to collaborate, the HP Pavilion PCs still being shipped with the preinstalled iTunes software.
