Hewlett-Packard Linux Imaging and Printing, an HP-developed solution for printing, scanning, and faxing with HP inkjet and laser-based printers in Linux, is now at version 3.14.1.

Hewlett-Packard Linux Imaging and Printing 3.14.1 doesn't bring any new major elements. It was released only to integrate a few fixes and one new feature, making this more of a maintenance release.

According to the developers, an insecure auto update feature has been fixed, insecure temporary file handling in pkit.py has been corrected, and the digital signature validation has been added in HPLIP upgrade feature.

The previous version of HP Linux Imaging and Printing 3.14.1 brought a few important changes like Debian 7.2 and Debian 6.0.8 support.

A complete list of changes and new supported printers can be found in the official announcement. Download HP Linux Imaging and Printing 3.14.1 right now from Softpedia.
