Today, HP has announced several new products designed to improve the quality of personal computing and to allow users to easily enjoy their photos, music and other personal content, while also delivering a reliable communication support. The company has introduced two new consumer notebooks, a personal desktop PC and a number of accessories, including new computer peripherals. Some of these new products will become available later this month, while an estimated release date for others has been set by the end of the year.

With the announcement, the leading manufacturer of portable computer systems introduced two new HDX notebook PCs, aimed at boosting the high-definition experience of all users requiring a highly capable portable computer system. The new HDX16 and HDX18 have been designed to incorporate a widely bright 1080p display, built-in TV tuners, and Blu-ray disk options.

Both these notebooks, which come in a 16-inch and 18.4-inch form factor, are equipped with built-in Wi-Fi networking, along with Altec Lansing speakers, enabling a home-theater quality of sound, with the help of HP's Triple Bass subwoofer and Dolby Home Theater software application. The HDX16 comes with a 16-inch widescreen display, while the HDX18 offers an even better visual experience using an 18.4-inch display. In addition, both notebooks feature HP's MediaSmart application that allows users to enjoy photos, listen to music, and watch movies in high definition.

The new TouchSmart IQ800 series desktop PC was thought to provide a stunning high-definition experience in an all-in-one touchscreen desktop form factor. It can double as a TV, thanks to its huge 25.5-inch widescreen display. The system is wall mountable, which means that it can easily be installed in almost any corner of your home, letting you keep up to date with the latest news, play music and watch TV – all by using only your fingers.

HP's TouchSmart IQ800 desktop PC features a powerful, energy-efficient Intel Core 2 Duo processor and uses the company’s power management technology for up to 45 percent energy savings, as opposed to other PCs that have no power management option included. In addition, the new IQ800 features a built-in webcam, colored HP Ambient Light, media card reader, large-capacity, high-speed drive, premium speakers, slot-load Blu-ray player and an HP Pocket Media Drive Bay for an additional hard drive.

As far as pricing goes, the new HDX16 and HDX18 portable systems will be available later this month for prices starting at $1,299 and 1,549, respectively. The new TouchSmart IQ804 PC starts at $1,889 and is expected to go on sale on September 21, while another TouchSmart IQ816, starting at $2,099 is due to arrive on October 12.
